Moles burrow in lawns, raising molehills and killing the lawn, for which they are sometimes considered pests However, they benefit the soil by aerating and tilling it, adding to its fertility. Contrary to popular belief, moles don't eat plant roots. But they might move your bulbs around a bit!
They are controlled with traps and poisons. I prefer to use the humane safe way to catch them and so should you. Just release them somewhere safe and away from your garden!
Use gloves to handle the trap as moles have a very good sense of smell, there are two holes in the top to see if mole has been caught. Splits in two for easy access to set mole free, but beware moles do have sharp teeth!
